Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Well vegetated flower rich areas e.g. gardens, parks, allotments, cemeteries, hedgerows, woodland rides, meadows, scrub etc. Flight period: Spring to Autumn. Larvae live in the stems of plants such as Elder, possibly Rasberries.
