Golden Hill Allotments
Description
Golden Hill Allotments were created during WWI in 1917 making it well over 100 years old! The site covers about 7 Ha in area and is home to a wide range of wildlife including 41 species of bird I have recorded so far, numerous species of Butterfly, Mammals including the nations favourite (Hedgehog), Badgers, Red Fox, Wood Mice, Brown Rat, Numerous species of Bat such as Common and Suprano Pipestrelle, Daubentons. Slow worms, Common Frogs, Common Toads, Smooth Newt exist here and in the past Grass Snakes.
