Species Description
Widespread but local around coasts. Most common to the North East of Cambridge. Habitat includes: Dry places such as sand dunes, chalk downland etc. Length: 7 - 8 mm. Diet: Nectar and Pollen from Yarrow, Small Teasel, Wild Carrot, Wood Sage etc. Flight period: July where they can be seen in huge numbers.
