The Gully
Description
An old quarry, managed by goats to control invasive scrub and protect the rare flora such as the Bristol Onion (Allium sphaerocephalon). The Gully is one of only two sites in Britain where this plant grows, the other being about a kilometre further down the Gorge at St. Vincent's Rocks. Today it is often referred to as 'Goat Gully' but other name's exist including: Walcombe Slade and Black Rock Gully.
