Species Description
Widespread in England especially in the south; scarcer elsewhere. Habitats include: Well-wooded areas with lots of flowers such as Brambles. e.g. allotments, parks, churchyards, roadside verges, scrub, wasteland, meadows, hedgerows etc. LengthL 6 - 10 mm. Life story: Larvae bore into sapwood of slender branches, trunks and decaying stumps.
