Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in the South. Habitat includes: scrub, hedgerows, woodland edge, field margins, grassland etc. where they are often found on the blossom of various shrubs (especially Brambles, Roses and Hawthorn). Length: 3.5 to 4.5 mm. Flight period: May to August (peaks June to July).
