Fairly common and widespread throughout the UK especially in the South. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, cemeteries, woodland rides, hedgerows, road side verges etc. Flight period: Late March to Mid-July. Parasites: Gooden's Nomad Bee (Nomada goodeniana).
