Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in the South, becoming scarcer further North. Habitat includes: Flower-rich sites with suitable nesting such as gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, meadows, wasteland etc. ID: Brownish leaf-cutter with sub-erect hairs on tergite 6 as in maritima, willughbiella and circumcincta (larger species with wing length of 9-10mm). Females can be distinguished from these other species by the bright orange pollen brush that rema.
