Species Description
Common and widespread throughout the UK. First recorded in the UK in 2001 it has expanded its range steadily, but is still most frequent in the south-east. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, woodland edge, hedgerows, road side verges, cemeteries, allotments, wasteland. Sometimes uses bird boxes as a nesting site. Flight period: April to July peaking from late May to June.
