Species Description
Common and widespread throughout the Southern half of the UK though more scattered in the North. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, cemeteries, allotments, wasteland, meadows, hedgerows, woodland rides. Flight period: March to May. Nests in the ground and soft mortar walls.
Flowers visited: Wallflower, Primrose, Ivy-leaved Toadflax, Cabbage, Pink Sorrel, Beaked Hawk's-beard.
