Common and widespread throughout the Southern half of the UK. Scarcer elsewhere. Haitat includes: Wet places e.g. water margins (lakes, rivers, streams, canals), ditches, dykes, marshes, wet woodland etc. I've seen it growing on cultivated land where the soil was very damp. Perennial. Flowers June to September.
