Species Description
Widespread but local throughout the Southern half of the UK becoming extremely patchy in the North. Habitat includes: Disturbed, grassy places on chalk and heavy calcareous clay soils (can be found in neutral to mildly acid soils) in places such as field margins, banks, lane sides, roadside verges, railway banks, woodland rides, coastal grassland, shingle etc. Flowers: May to July. Growing habit: Annual.
