Species Description
An unknown dandelion found on the edge of a patch of fenced off wasteland. Appears to be from group Croceiflora.
A large relatively upright plant with very long white petioles (though it was growing amongst a layer of London Plane leaf litter) and c. 5-6 lateral lobes which are recurved to slightly sigmoid and narrowing into an acute, somewhat prolonged tip, bearing a large tooth on the distal margin to almost split double; terminal lobe smallish and subobtuse; bracts spreading-recurved (slightly sigmoid in bud) with the innermost spreading-suberect, c. 13-15 x 4-5 mm; ligules striped grey-violet; pollen plentiful. It appears to fit best with the Alata group.
