Species Description
Fairly common and widespread throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Dry, open ground on shallow soils particularly those that are calcareous such as sand dunes, walls, rocks, open grassland, pavements, wasteland, stony places, pathways, sandy ground, mountains etc. Growing habit: Annual. Flowers: March to June. Other names include: Spring Draba, Shadflower, Nailwort, Vernal Whitlow grass, Early Whitlow Grass or Whitlow-grass.
