Species Description
Widespread but local throughout England and Wales and the coast of Scotland and the S.E of N. Ireland. It is never common and you normally only ever find single plants. Habitat includes: Dry, infertile, calcareous / base-rich soils such as well-grazed grassland, rock ledges, screes, quarries, cliffs, sand dunes dry etc. Biennial. Flowers: July to September.
