Goat Gully

Description

An old quarry, managed by goats to control invasive scrub and protect the rare flora such as the Bristol Onion (Allium sphaerocephalon). Goat Gully is one of only two sites in Britain where this plant grows, the other being further down the Gorge at St Vincent's Rocks. The location has other names including Walcombe Slade.
