Species Description
Widespread but local in the Southern half of the UK, scattered further North. Habitat includes: Disturbed/cultivated places such as allotments, gardens, farmland, wasteland, road side verges etc. Flowers: July to September. Annual/Biennial. Height: up to 1.8 m. I often see them with they're flower stalks snapped off. I don't know if it's the council or people who wrongly accuse it as problematic. The same occurs with other scape goated plants such as Ragworts and Common Hogweed.
