Species Description
Common and widespread throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Disturbed places such as gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, woodland rides, hedge banks, walls, pavements, arable fields, wasteland etc. Growing habit: Annual. Flowers: March to August (may flower all year round in milder regions). Height: Up to 60 cm (usually only 10 cm). There are two subspecies: ssp. hederifolia (more Southern distribution and prefers open sunny sites) and ssp. lucorum (More widespread and prefers shaded sites).
