Stace 4:

Stachys arvensis (L.) L. - Field Woundwort.

Erect to ascending, hairy annual to 25cm, without glandular hairs; corolla dull pinkish-purple, 6-8mm; 2n=10. Archaeophyte-colonist; arable ground on non-calcareous soils; scattered throughout much of British Isles, rare in North Ireland and Scotland.
