Species Description
Widespread but occasional throughout the UK but more common in the North and absent from much of the South. In the wild it is rare however it is often planted in suburban areas and often escapes into the wild by birds. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards / cemeteries, hedgerows, woodland, scrub, roadside verges etc. Height: Up to 17 m. Growing habit: Deciduous Perennial. Flowers: May to June.
