Badock's Wood

Description

Small very popular wood 10 Ha / 24.7 acres. As a result of so much human disturbance its wildlife value is very poor to what it could be, but it still holds a good range and some quite unique species considering it's surrounded by urban land. Tawny Owls can be seen here as well as many species of bat. Badgers, Hedgehogs and Foxes. Tree Creepers, Song Thrush and Nuthatches are quite spectacular sightings to be seen here. In the spring the woodland floor is dominated by Wild Garlic along with English Bluebell, Wood Anemone, Lesser Celandine, Cow Parsley etc.
