Cotoneaster horizontalis Decne. - Wall Cotoneaster.
Arching to horizontal, deciduous shrub to 1(3)m, often appressed to vertical walls, with very regular herringbone pattern of branching; leaves 0.6-1.2cm, shiny and flat on upperside, subglabrous on lowerside; flowers (1)2-3 together; anthers white; fruits orange-red, 4-6mm, more or less globose, with 3 stones; (2n=68). Neophyte-naturalised; common in much of British Isles; West China.
