Species Description

Common and widespread throughout the Southern half of the UK, more scattered elsewhere. Only native up until Yorkshire and Lancashire. Habitat includes: open woodland, fen carr, hedgerows, scrub, river banks etc. dioecious, Herbaceous, Perennial climber. Often cultivated and escapes. Flowers: July to August. Other names include: Common Hop, Hops, European Hop.
