Species Description
A local endemic to North East Somerset around Hunstrete, Woollard, Compton Dando and Brislington. Discovered by D. Fry in 1892 when he "observed a marked variation [of R. rubritinctus] near Woollard and at Brislington." It was described in 1930 by W.R. Watson but strangely doesn't appear in his masterpiece - Rubi of Great Britain and Ireland.
Similar to R. rhombifolius and R. daveyi but the latter has sparsely hairy undersides.
