Species Description

Common and widespread on a wide range of soil types but mainly clay. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, hedgerows, woodland edge / rides, scrub, wasteland, roadside verges, railway banks, coasts, cliff tops etc. ID: Jammy tasting fruit. Purple stems, leaves have 5 leaflets and white undersides, light pink flowers. Height: Up to 5 m. Other names include: Thorn-less Blackberry, Zarzamora (Spanish).
