Pruinose Bramble - Rubus pruinosus

Species Description
Widespread but local in the southern half of the UK. True R. pruinosus doesn't actually occur in Britain but is confined to a small area of eastern Sweden and derived from a cross between R. aureolus and R. idaeus. What we call R. pruinosus in Britain is itself a collection of many different plants. See the paper by Ulf Ryde on the Hybrids between Rubus idaeus and Rubus sect. Corylifolii and their relation to R. pruinosus and R. rosanthus.
