Wellington Hill Dewberry - Rubus 'Wellington Hill caesius'

Species Description
Strange infertile form with mauve petals and styles and deeply dissected leaves - almost pinnate towards the base. Probably a sterile hybrid but it was a hot year and many normal plants did not set fruit. Its deeply cleft terminal leaflet almost resembles R. loganobaccus or R. x pseudoidaeus but this feature mostly disappears higher up the plant. They also have distinct basal leaflets. Its mauve petals and flesh-coloured styles are features shared with R. nemorosus.
