Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in England but less frequent elsewhere. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, cemeteries, hedgerows, woodland rides, road side verges, scrub. Flight period: May to August. Length 6-9mm. Diet: Adults eat small insects, larvae feed on the leaves of wild and cultivated Roses and also on those of Strawberry.
