Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in the Southern half of the UK, less so elsewhere. Habitat includes: Top soil, leaf litter, under stones in places such as gardens, parks, allotments, cemeteries, woodland, hedgerows etc. Other names include: Haplophilus subterraneus. Longest centipede in the UK, growing up to 7 cm long with 77 - 83 pairs of legs.
