Species Description
Widespread but local. Not very well recorded. Habitat includes: Wet boggy places growing on dead stems of various plants e.g. Common reed, reed sweet grass, I've seen it grow on the old, rotting stems of Michaelmas Daisy, Common Fleabane, Ox-eye Daisy, Japanese Honeysuckle, Raspberry in the Laundry Lane location where it is locally extremely common in November. Blooming time: Spring to Autumn. Disc diameter: 2 mm.
Could possibly be Rutstroemia conformata or Hymenoscyphus scutula.
