Species Description

Fairly common and widespread throughout the UK. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, hedgerows, woodland, scrub, roadside verges, railway banks, wasteland, coasts etc. Other names include: Epiblema cynosbatella. Flight period: May to July (night time flying but may be disturbed during the day). Wingspan: 16 - 22 mm. Diet: Larvae = Roses.
