Species Description
Widespread and locally frequent throughout England and Wales; rarer elsewhere. Habitat includes: wetlands, ponds, lakes, canals, ditches etc. Life story: the larvae feed on Duckweed just below the surface of the water by building floating cases made from fragments of the food-plant.
