Species Description
Widespread and local in the South; rare in the North. Habitat includes: Wherever the food plant occurs in places such as grassland, meadows, roadside verges, coasts, gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards etc. Life story: Larvae burrow into the rootstock of Ox-eye Daisy and Tansy. Flight period: 2 generations (April to May and August to September). Wingspan: 10 - 15 mm.
