Species Description

Common and widespread in the South, mainly around Urban and suburban areas. Habitats include: Places with Japanese / Evergreen Spindle (Euonymus japonicus) gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, woodland, hedgerows etc. Wingspan: 16 - 25 mm. Flight period: May to October (2 generations a year). A Non-native from Australia thought to have accidentally been introduced into Cornwall in the 1930's.
