Species Description

Common and widespread in the South and West; very sparse in the North. Habitat includes: gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, scrub, woodland, hedgerows, roadside verges, wasteland etc. It is associated with Blackthorn. Flight period: June to July. Wingspan: 20 - 24 mm.
