Species Description
Fairly common and widespread in the South and spreading further North. A colonising species which was first recorded in 1905 on the South Coast. Habitat includes: Parks, gardens, allotments, churchyards etc. Flight period: 2 generations (May to June, June to August). Wingspan: 14 - 24 mm. Diet: Larvae = A wide range of deciduous trees, shrubs and herbaceous plant species such as Raspberries.
