Species Description

Until the 1990s it was uncommon. Now it is widespread and frequent throughout the UK although most common in the Southern half. Habitat includes places with lush vegetation e.g. gardens, allotments, parks, church yards, scrub, road side verges. Larvae feed on young leaves of various plant species.
