Species Description

Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the southern half of the UK. Habitat includes: roadside verges, parks, gardens, allotments, cemeteries, woodland rides, meadows etc. Diet: Adults nectar on hawthorns, roses, brambles and Umbellifers, Larvae feed on Aphids. Other names include: Straight-banded Smoothtail.
