Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent in the South. Habitat includes: woodland, scrub, hedgerows, gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards etc. Life Story: Associated with Poplar's, Oak's and Elm's, Alder and Hazel; the larvae feed on dead and decaying wood of living trees, roots of umbellifers, compost, decaying vegetation, fungi. Length: 2 - 3 mm.
