This species has:

Species Description

Widespread and but local throughout England and Wales less so elsewhere. In Scotland it was recorded for the first time in 2009. Habitat includes: damp shaded places e.g. wetlands, hedgerows, woodland rides. Length: 3-4 mm. Flight period: June-September. Life cycle: Larvae found in wood debris, rotten wood, rotting trees.
