Species Description

Widespread and fairly frequent but patchy and mainly in the Western half of the UK. Habitat includes: siliceous or igneous rocks such as boulders, drystones walls, rock faces and ledges, tiled roofs and stone chippings of railway lines etc. Very similar to R. heterostrichum which tends to have longer hairs on the leaf tips and prefers more upland districts but the two species cross over. Apparently now called: Bucklandiella affinis.
