Species Description

Common and widespread throughout the UK but mainly in the South. Habitat includes: rough grassland, parks etc. Flight period: April to July (Peaks in May). Diet: Adults = Umbellifers such as Cow Parsley, Larvae = roots of various grasses. Length: 13 - 15 mm.
