Species Description
Formerly a rare vagrant but has become much more frequent since the 1990s and is now established and widely scattered throughout England (but predominantly in the south-east) and coastal Wales, with two records from Scotland. Habitat includes: Flower-rich sites with lots of Stork's-bills and composites such as grassland, dry grassy banks, road verges etc. Adult seen: All year round. Length: 6.5 - 7.5 mm. Identified by its incredibly long wing membrane, it far exceeding the body.
