Species Description
Widespread and fairly common in the South, scarcer in the North. Habitat includes: Anywhere with Umbellifers such as Common Hogweed in places such as gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, roadside verges, cycle paths, hedgerows, woodland, scrub, fields, grassland, wasteland, coasts etc. Length: 4 mm. Seen all year round. Life story: Adults overwinter, mate in the spring with a new generation complete from July onwards.
