Species Description

Found in the nest of Lasius flavus (Yellow Meadow Ant) Amongst the roots of grasses, Creeping Cinquefoil. Smynthurodes betae (Bean Root Aphid), Genus Trama

Life story: Overwinters in the nests of Ants (I've recorded it with Lasius flavus - Yellow Meadow Ant). Length: 1.6-2.7 mm.

Could be:

Trama caudata (Garden Root Aphid) / Trama maritima (Coastal Root Aphid) x Trama centaureae (Knapweed Root Aphid?) Trama rara (Dandelion Root Aphid) Trama troglodytes (Artichoke Tuber Aphid)
