Species Description

Aphid on Greater Bird's-foot Trefoil. Life story: Sexual forms occur in autumn and males are apterous or alate. Diet: Various members of Fabaceae (Pea family) especially Trefoils (Lotus, Anthyllis and Hippocrepis) and lucerne (also known as alfalfa, Medicago sativa). It is found in Europe, eastward to Turkey. Introduced to Argentina.
