Species Description

Widespread and fairly frequent along rocky coasts throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Rocky coastlines. Diet: Insects such as beetles, small fish, small shellfish and seeds. Measurements: Length = 16.5 cm, Wingspan = 23 - 28 cm, Weight = 20 - 30g. Population = 34,000 pairs.
