Species Description
Fairly common and widespread throughout the UK. Habitat includes: Often around harbours and marinas, coastline, rocky shores, coastal lagoons, estuaries, sometimes coming inland to lakes and reservoirs, gravel pits etc. They look quite menacing especially when seen perched at the top of trees in winter. Life story: They are supreme fishers. Diet: Various fish.
