Species Description
Widespread and locally frequent in the southern half of the UK. Habitat includes: grassland, Woodland etc. Life story: the larvae feed on the roots of a variety of grasses. Adult seen: All year round with the new generation emerging in May to June. Length: 6 - 8 mm.
