Species Description

Widespread but scarce and local in the South. Habitat includes: grassland, coasts, wasteland, gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards etc. Flight period: May to June. Flowers visited: Germander Speedwell, Daisy, Dandelions, Forget-me-nots. I've also recorded them use Dove's-foot and Round-leaved Crane's-bill. It is the host of the Short-spined Nomad Bee (Nomada guttulata).
